A workspace is a private branch which a user uses to
perform work on CodeMatrix controlled
files. This is achieved by 'mounting' the workspace on the
user's computer.
Mounting a workspace copies the contained file revisions
to the user's computer, sets the writeable state
appropriate to the checkin / out state and starts the
Active Workspace™ manager for the newly mounted
workspace.
Unmounting a workspace copies changed checked out files to
the server, saves excluded files in the
recycle folder
stops the Active Workspace™ manager
for the workspace and deletes the workspace from the
user's computer.
Mounting a workspace
To mount a workspace select the workspace in CXInsight
then click 'Mount' on the right click menu. The following
dialog appears.

CXInsight will determine the most
appropriate target, or mount location. You can change this
with the 'Browse' function, but generally you'll just need
to click OK to mount the workspace.
Note that mounting a workspace usually involves copying a
significant number of files to your computer so can take a
little while, especially if you have a slow connection to
the CodeMatrix server. A progress bar indicates the status
of the mount operation.
Unmounting a workspace
To unmount a workspace
select the workspace in CXInsight then click 'Unmount' on
the right click menu. A confirmation dialog appears.

Click 'Yes' and the unmount
proceeds. Note that mounting a workspace can involve
copying a significant number of files from your computer
to the server so can take a little while, especially if
you have a slow connection to the CodeMatrix server, or
there are a large number of checked out files. A progress
bar indicates the status of the unmount operation.
