CodeMatrix requires a valid licence file in order to
operate. An evaluation license can be obtained online
using the
evaluation license administrator. Contact our
sales team to
obtain a full licence.
The license specifies the MAC (Media Access Control)
address of the computer on which the server is to be
installed, the number of allowed clients and details of
any support agreement.
An example license key is shown at the end of this page.
The license key is saved in a text file; license.txt in
the same folder the server software is installed in. When
installing CodeMatrix for the first time you will be
prompted for the license key. Updates to the key are made
by editing the license.txt file directly. The key text
should be copied in it's entirety, ensuring the @begin and
@end tags are included and the text between is unchanged.
The command line command
cx license
can be used to show the currently installed key values, or
to activate a new key without restarting the server.
